AWS, Google, Microsoft and Meta are all in on AI and are funding an enormous AI data centre buildout along with many other industry players.   This has the potential to create a large increase in demand for data centre facilities, with growing environmental impact on power, water, and carbon. The time to act is now, as the data centres are being planned and built. The hard question is what can be done to make sure the AI driven data centre expansion is done in an environmentally responsible manner. This panel will look at future technologies, and activities within the Open Compute Project Community striving to change the environmental impact curve on the AI factories that are imminent.
