This will be the first chance many in the UK will have to see the Orion library.

The ORION is specially designed to maintain large amounts of data in a single rack. The base configuration offers space for up to 1,115 tapes and up to 3 LTO-FH drives. For higher performance requirements, a variant with 1,052 tape slots and 24 LTO-FH drives is available.

Depending on requirements, further configurations are possible – with more drives or additional tape slots. For even greater scalability, an S3 head can be flexibly integrated outside the rack.

Scalable

In combination with an S3 appliance, multiple systems can be connected to form a larger library with several thousand tape slots.

With strict quality standards and extensive durability and reliability testing, ORION is one of the most reliable tape libraries on the market. If necessary, all major assemblies have been designed to be replaced quickly and without tools – for minimal downtime.
