The BMC is introduced as a dedicated BM‑based pump variant for IT‑cooling applications. It re‑uses the proven BM multistage hydraulic design while incorporating a set of mechanical changes tailored for CDU cabinet integration, reliability, and ease of installation.
Updated mechanical design for optimal CDU integration
- Side‑mounted inlet for easier piping layout and significantly better motor cooling performance.
- Reduced overall height, enabling compact installation in the standard 900×1200×2200 mm CDU footprint.
- 90‑degree discharge orientation for clean and flexible routing inside cabinets.
- Tri‑Clamp and Victaulic connectors that provide fast, modular, hygienic assembly with minimal downtime during maintenance.
These updates improve installation efficiency and overall serviceability while ensuring stable pump cooling during continuous operation.
Performance & Reliability
The BM traditionally delivers high flow and pressure capability, with program sizes reaching up to 213 m³/h at 78.7 m head in the wider BM family. While the BMC variant focuses on IT cooling, it inherits the BM series’ core strengths:
- Multistage hydraulics for high head and precise flow.
- Motor‑fluid cooling, allowing quiet, fan‑less operation.
- Hermetically sealed, low‑maintenance design, removing the need for shaft seals and ensuring leakage‑free reliability.
- Long service life, with maintenance intervals extending beyond 10 years in typical BM operation
- Together, these attributes position the BMC as a robust choice for high‑density, mission‑critical data center environments.
Compatibility with CUE Control & Smart Operations
The BMC is introduced as a “Born‑E” variant—bundled with the CUE VFD. In CDU systems, BM pumps paired with CUE provide:
- Precise control strategies (constant pressure, differential pressure, temperature, or flow modes).
- Multi‑pump features like duty/standby, alternation, and cascade for redundancy.
- Distributed intelligence enabling automatic failover if the master pump or sensor fails.
This ensures stability and uninterrupted cooling, even in dynamic load conditions typical of AI and HPC environments.
