HGY Compact Series
A key differentiator of HIMOINSA is its in-house acoustic engineering team, integrated within the company’s organizational structure. From the earliest project stages, this team develops tailor-made solutions and works in close coordination with the rest of the engineering departments, ensuring a fully integrated and unique market offering.
Advanced Noise Reduction
The Advanced Compact Version incorporates multi-layer acoustic insulation in the walls, ceiling, and floor, along with high-attenuation intake and exhaust silencers. This enables three configurable sound levels (up to 50°C ambient temperature):
-
Ultra – 75 dB(A)
-
Plus – 80 dB(A)
-
Compact – 85 dB(A)
Each soundproofing configuration can be adapted to the specific needs of the project, industry requirements, and local regulations.
The cooling system design optimizes airflow in and out of the container to reduce aerodynamic noise and enhance acoustic efficiency. An adjustable extraction system allows precise control of airflow rates, significantly lowering sound emissions. Every unit undergoes factory acoustic testing to verify the selected sound configuration under rated power and real load conditions, ensuring stable performance and a controlled acoustic environment.
Sustainability | SCR System and Exhaust Gas Treatment
In response to increasingly stringent environmental regulations, HIMOINSA’s engineering team offers the integration of an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system for projects requiring advanced exhaust gas treatment. This system injects a urea solution into the hot exhaust flow, triggering a chemical reaction that converts nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen and water vapor—both environmentally harmless compounds.
The SCR system installed in the HGY Series enables real-time monitoring of key parameters such as temperature, pressure, and NOx concentration. This connectivity ensures full process control, minimizes operational risks, and extends component lifespan. As a result, NOx emissions are maintained below 190 mg/Nm³, meeting the European standard for medium combustion plants and positioning the HGY container version among Europe’s most sustainable power solutions.
When combined with the ability to operate on 100% pure HVO fuel, the HGY Advanced Compact Version sets a benchmark in sustainability. In addition to complying with the strictest environmental standards, it achieves exceptional power density—up to 37.9 kWm/L—delivering lower environmental impact, optimized resource efficiency, and significantly reduced life cycle costs.
Robustness and High Operability | Engineered for Continuous Operation
Integrating the entire system into a 40-foot container provides a compact engineering solution with shorter electrical layouts and reduced losses. With CSC Safety Approval, the unit is ready for intermodal logistics without modifications. This high functional density and integration quality deliver more power and control within a smaller footprint, accelerating project commissioning.
For applications where power continuity is critical, the 40' ISO High Cube structure ensures mechanical strength and logistical reliability, supporting compliance in demanding environments such as Data Centers and Hospitals. Features such as automatic oil filling, pre-lubrication, automatic priming, and engine heating guarantee fast, reliable start-ups while protecting internal components and extending service life.
The container is designed to maintain supply during scheduled maintenance, avoiding service interruptions and ensuring continuous power in critical environments. Safety features include weather-resistant stainless steel or galvanized fittings, a panel inspection window for monitoring without interior access, service-friendly openings and inspection points, LED service lighting, a panic button, an interlocked door switch, and a certified rooftop lifeline for safe work at height. Together, these elements standardize maintenance and commissioning procedures.
The result is a highly robust solution engineered for uninterrupted operation and maximum efficiency.
Efficiency and Environmental Adaptability
The HGY Series Advanced Compact Version delivers high performance and operational stability, with electrical quality compliant with class G3 (ISO 8528-5). It ensures reliable starts and seamless integration with existing switchgear, reducing risks and commissioning time.
Its design prioritizes fuel efficiency and dynamic coordination between engine operation and cooling management to maintain performance under all conditions. The Engine Control Unit (ECU) integrates intuitive diagnostics and remote monitoring, enhancing operational availability. Sensor-based monitoring of filtration and fluid levels reduces incidents and ensures full maintenance traceability.
Operational Ease | Guaranteed Availability
Auxiliary systems are designed for continuity and simplicity: automatic oil refilling, double-walled fuel tank, pre-lubrication, and electric fuel priming pump. The heating and pre-lubrication systems prepare the engine for start-up, while intelligent monitoring of levels, temperature, and pressure enables predictive maintenance. The double-walled tank includes leak detection and sealing sensors between walls.
To further enhance availability, the architecture can incorporate N+1 pump redundancy, bypass valves, and partial hot maintenance capabilities. This results in predictable, traceable operation and optimized maintenance planning without affecting performance.
Plug & Play | Immediate Commissioning
The HGY Advanced Compact Version is designed for fast and straightforward installation thanks to its Plug & Play concept. Commissioning does not require specialized training, accelerating deployment. The system integrates a copper busbar and internal SCR connectors, simplifying wiring and service tasks.
Engine sensors are connected to the control panel via labeled, point-to-point tested harnesses. Quick-connect fuel fittings and a three-way fuel purging valve enable fast and efficient servicing. This 360° approach to accessibility ensures maximum efficiency and reliability throughout the unit’s lifecycle.
Connectivity | Advanced Monitoring
The solution offers full connectivity for end users. Operation can be managed locally or remotely, with synchronization capabilities for multiple generator sets. Communication modules enable remote control, integration with other units, and GPS tracking.
The system supports redundant communications and industrial protocols, including API integration for DCIM/SCADA systems, centralized alarm management, and maintenance control—essential features for critical infrastructures where reliability is non-negotiable.
As a vertically integrated manufacturer, HIMOINSA can also provide its proprietary control center, enabling intelligent generator interconnection, seamless ECU integration, compatibility with plant management systems, remote operation, synchronization, and advanced monitoring.
Easy Maintenance
Maintenance access is simplified with easy reach to filters and priming systems. Oil extraction is performed via an electric pump with a three-way valve. Removable grilles allow radiator cleaning, and coolant filling points are easily accessible with visible level indicators. The control panel integrates the AVR and auxiliary sockets under a protective roof.
All engine filters are located on a single side, facilitating servicing in restricted-access applications. Extended maintenance intervals further enhance efficiency: up to 500 hours for oil and oil filter changes, up to 10,000 hours for top overhaul in COP applications, and up to 30,000 hours for major overhauls in COP applications.
