New Grundfos CME32, horizontal multistage pump
High‑performance hydraulics for modern CDUs
The CME 32‑2 builds on the proven CM/CME architecture but incorporates upgraded hydraulics taken from the CR vertical multistage pump, providing a substantial leap in performance without compromising compactness or efficiency. The hydraulic redesign enables the pump to deliver up to 50 m³/h flow and 35 m head, meeting the growing demand for higher cooling capacity in IT‑cooling CDUs.
Compact, lightweight and OEM‑friendly
Designed for strict space‑and‑weight constraints inside CDUs, the pump retains the compact, lightweight form factor that OEMs rely on. Its horizontal multistage steel construction fits seamlessly into small and large CDU configurations, whether stand‑alone or integrated into a modular system layout.
Easy installation with Tri‑Clamp connectivity
To streamline assembly, maintenance, and replacement cycles, the CME 32‑2 introduces Tri‑Clamp sleeves, enabling faster installation, improved modularity, and easier field servicing—critical advantages for OEMs and system builders managing high‑density liquid‑cooling deployments.
High‑efficiency operation and intelligent control
The CME version integrates the IE5‑rated MGE motor with a built‑in frequency converter, delivering exceptional energy efficiency and smart control features. It supports variable‑speed operation for precise temperature and flow management in CDUs. The CM variant can be paired with an external VFD such as the CUE drive.
Built on reliability and proven performance
The CM/CME series is widely used in existing CDU designs across the industry. The new CME 32‑2 preserves the low‑noise operation, reliability, and long‑life performance associated with the range—while boosting output to meet the thermal challenges of next‑gen GPUs, AI clusters, and liquid‑cooling infrastructures.
