Patch cords provide the interface between structured cabling and active transceivers. Their fibre count and connector configuration are defined by the transmission method and optics used. In high-density data center environments, patch cords support parallel-optics concepts as well as duplex-based architectures. Optimized round cable designs ensure controlled bending radii, low insertion loss and stable attenuation performance. Patch cords are available with LC, MPO and VSFF connectors such as SN or MDC, enabling flexible deployment across multimode and singlemode applications.
