PP-R and PP-RCT pipes and fittings
PP-RCT, as an enhanced generation of polypropylene, offers superior long-term hydrostatic strength and improved resistance to elevated temperatures and pressures. This allows for thinner wall designs at equivalent pressure classes, resulting in larger internal diameters, reduced friction losses, and optimized hydraulic performance—key parameters in high-efficiency cooling networks.
Unlike metallic piping systems, PP-R and PP-RCT are inherently corrosion-free and immune to electrochemical degradation. This eliminates the risk of rust formation, scaling, and contamination that can negatively affect heat exchangers, chillers, and overall system efficiency. The heat fusion joining method (socket or butt fusion) creates homogeneous, leak-free connections with a service life exceeding 50 years under proper operating conditions.
The lightweight nature of polypropylene piping simplifies transportation and installation, particularly in technical corridors, overhead routing, and raised floor environments typical of data center layouts. When combined with pre-insulated solutions, PP-RCT systems contribute to reduced thermal losses, minimized condensation risk, and improved overall energy performance.
Additionally, the material’s low thermal conductivity, chemical resistance, and smooth internal surface support stable long-term operation in 24/7 environments where system downtime is not an option.
For data center cooling applications that demand durability, hydraulic efficiency, and operational reliability, PP-R and PP-RCT piping systems represent a future-proof solution aligned with the evolving requirements of hyperscale and enterprise facilities.
