Primary Loop Cooling

Hydratech Stand: D189
Castrol ON: Primary Cooling Fluid DTX
Provides significant COP and PUE advantages, when compared with Propylene Glycol (PG).

DTX technology, benefits & credentials
DTX delivers the increased thermodynamic and hydrodynamic performance benefits of Ethylene Glycol (EG) based cooling fluids, whilst providing the low-toxicity credentials of PG based cooling fluids. Converting a PG based cooling system to DTX is proven to increase COP by >10% while reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions by a similar amount.

DTX was primarily developed primarily for use in food and beverage process cooling and refrigeration systems, Coolflow DTX™ is now the go-to sub-zero cooling fluid for many blue-chip breweries, dairies, distilleries, food processors and cold-chain distributors. The majority of new-build F&B facilities are designed around the use of Coolflow DTX™, which facilitates the use of smaller chillers, pumps, pipework etc. to generate the same cooling capacity, and thus significantly reduces Capex.

Coolflow DTX™ has also been adopted for use in several military and medical devices, including Pilot Cooling Units for Lockheed Martin F35 Lightning II jets and Spectrum Medicals ‘Mr Frosty’ blood heater-cooler, as used during open-chest surgery. Both devices are patented, with Coolflow DTX™ intrinsic to the specification.
