As Vice President and Head of Global Data Centre Solutions at Siemens, Ciaran leads the company’s global market strategy for the data centre industry. Drawing on deep technical expertise, industry insight, and cross-functional leadership, he steers Siemens’ data centre business across its full portfolio. His focus is on creating tangible value for customers by enabling data centres around the world to better plan, design, build, operate and scale their facilities. Prior to joining Siemens, Ciaran held several senior leadership positions in the global data centre industry, most recently as Managing Director with ISG Ltd and previously as Vice President, Global Data Centre Solutions at ABB. Ciaran was also Head of Datacentre Strategy at Nokia/Microsoft and held consulting and business leadership roles at Cirrascale Cloud Services and Intel Corporation. Ciaran has provided strategic consulting to several Fortune 100 companies in the area of Data Centre operations, technical architecture, energy efficiency, procurement strategy and financial planning. Ciaran is based in Dublin, Ireland and graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BSc. in Computer Science. He holds a postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Henley Management College and a diploma in executive leadership from IMD, Lausanne. Additionally, Ciaran holds an undergraduate Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and a post graduate Diploma in Sustainability Leadership in Business.
