Diar is CEO of Motion Dynamics, where he is bridging the gap between elite lab-grade analytics and real-world application. The company replaces cumbersome sensors with AI-driven, markerless motion capture, delivering real-time, high-fidelity biomechanical data through a SaaS platform serving sport, defence and manufacturing. With an MSc in Computational Neuroscience and Cognitive Robotics (Distinction), Diar began his research career at the University of Birmingham, focusing on human–computer interaction in rehabilitation. His work evolved into immersive extended reality (XR) systems providing real-time sensory feedback for motor skill training, culminating in an EPSRC-funded PhD exploring neuroplasticity and sensory-motor control in stroke and nerve rehabilitation. Now an EPSRC postdoctoral fellow, he continues advancing XR for clinical and scientific use while leading industry collaborations and specialist training programmes.
