Felicia Omoediale-Samuel is a respected cybersecurity and AI governance, risk and compliance (GRC) professional and executive adviser operating across Africa, Europe, North America and Asia. A researcher–practitioner currently pursuing a Professional Doctorate at Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge, UK), her work centres on integrating security into AI development, mapping AI systems’ threat landscapes, ensuring secure data handling, and managing AI cybersecurity risk. Over more than two decades in technology, she has delivered outcomes with organisations including the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Next, FedEx, Vmobile, Celtel and Sky. Felicia serves as a Non-Executive Director at Sycom Solutions, providing strategic guidance on the company’s industry-based AI research initiative. In higher education, she serves as a member of the Computer Science Departmental Advisory Board and an industry representative at the University of Essex, and she is a visiting lecturer at several universities in the UK. She is also a contributor to The Executive Magazine, where she writeson cybersecurity and secure AI. She is an alumna of the University of Oxford, holding an MSc in Software and System Security, as well as a BSc in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin. Her perspectives are featured at global technology gatherings, where she champions the adoption of secure, responsible AI at scale.
