Jacob Cummings is vice president of business development at PHS West, bringing more than 26 years of hands-on experience with the company. His perspective is shaped by a boots-on-the-ground career path, rising from product fabrication and assembly roles to executive leadership, with a deep understanding of how work is performed on the production floor. Throughout his career, Jacob has focused on helping data centers move heavy equipment safely and efficiently across every stage of the facility life cycle, from installation and maintenance to upgrades and decommissioning. He works closely with teams to deliver purpose-built tugs, lifters and material handling systems that reduce manual strain and eliminate operational bottlenecks. His expertise centers on solving the challenges that emerge after the initial build and implementing practical, automated solutions that support long-term operational efficiency. Outside of work, Jacob is a dedicated family man who spends most of his free time with his wife of 22 years, supporting their five children through busy school and athletic schedules.
