JP Buzzell
VP, Data Center Chief Architect,
EATON
JP Buzzell is vice president, Data Center Chief Architect,
Electrical Sector at Eaton. In this role, he is responsible for
guiding the product management cycle and helping drive
data center sales growth. He will research industry trends,
explore new technologies and applications as well as build
customer and supplier relationships in this high-growth
industry of data centers.
JP’s data center experience began at Facebook (now Meta), where he
focused on data center construction, commissioning and operations. He later
joined Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as a regional director of operations
for data centers. While at OCI, he led whitespace design globally and was
responsible for developing air‐cooled and liquid‐cooled standard designs. He
also orchestrated the coordination and control of electrical, mechanical and
network technologies to enable clusters to be scaled from a few hundred
GPUs to hundreds of thousands. He also worked at First Energy and the United
States Navy, where he supported nuclear power operations.
JP holds a bachelor’s degree in nuclear energy engineering technology from
Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, New Jersey, and a master’s degree in
technology management from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
