Massimiliano Sfragara is a passionate Mechanical Engineer who has dedicated their entire career to the advancement of products and systems in the HVAC&R industry. With a solid foundation in research and development, his career began as a compressor designer, where he developed deep technical expertise in thermodynamic components and early-stage product development. Over the years, he has held increasingly senior positions at leading HVAC&R and equipment manufacturers, contributing to the design, optimization, and validation of chillers, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment. His experience broadened further when he joined a major UK general contractor, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the cooling and heating sector across the entire value chain—from component design to equipment manufacturing, installation, operation, and service. Since 2021, he has served as Director of Product Management at Enex Technologies, where he oversees the New Product Roadmap with a particular focus on natural refrigerants, such as CO2, Ammonia and hydrocarbons, and the integration of different cooling and heating products into innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions. His expertise includes chillers, precision cooling, dry coolers, and heat pumps for applications spanning from IT cooling to commercial buildings, industrial refrigeration, and process industries.
