Petra is a technology enthusiast, leader, inventor (with published patent) and public speaker with a unique background. As someone who thrives making order out of chaos and challenging environments - she was initially an emergency medicine doctor and competitive volleyball athlete, but her passion for technology led her to pivot into cyber security. Starting as a cybersecurity intern at Glasswall, Petra quickly advanced to a security engineer role. She progressed to senior security engineer roles, ultimately rising to Director of Cyber Security at Jobandtalent. There, she hired and led global security teams, driving compliance with industry standards like NIST and ISO27001. Combining her passion for threat modelling and AI, Petra is also leading product development at Devarmor as a Fractional Head of Product, aiming to transform security design reviews with automation and enforcement. In her current role as Head of Information Security at Numan, Petra utilises her unique background in healthcare and technology to deliver business value, introduce human centric cyber security strategies, whilst bridging technical expertise with operational insight and taking information security to the next level.
