Santosh Kumar Perumal is an experienced Cloud and DevOps Consultant based in the UK, with over 11 years of experience in the IT industry, primarily within the Banking and Financial Services sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and is known for delivering scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions in complex enterprise environments. Specializing in Google Cloud, cloud-native architectures, application modernization, and DevOps transformation, he helps organizations accelerate their cloud adoption journeys. His technical expertise includes CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, observability, platform engineering, and cost optimization, enabling teams to build reliable systems while maintaining strong security and compliance standards. With a strong focus on automation and reliability, he works at the intersection of engineering excellence and business outcomes. He is a Google Developer Expert (GDE) for Google Cloud and AI, part of a global program that recognizes experienced professionals who demonstrate deep technical expertise and actively contribute to the developer ecosystem through technical leadership, community engagement, and knowledge sharing. As a GDE, he collaborates with global communities to promote best practices and modern cloud technologies. In addition, he serves as a STEM Ambassador, supporting initiatives that inspire young people and underrepresented groups to pursue careers in technology in the UK, and as an OpenUK & CD Foundation Ambassador, advocating for open-source software, open standards, and sustainable open technology ecosystems.
