Steve is Sector Lead for Data Centres and Mission Critical at Robert Bird Group, and AECA Regional Sub Sector Lead for Data Centres and Advanced Manufacturing within SJ Group. A Chartered Engineer with 18 years of experience, he has led the delivery of complex projects across the UK spanning data centres, commercial workplaces, residential schemes and education facilities. He brings a strong track record in developing innovative, sustainable engineering solutions that respond to each project’s specific demands, while fostering collaborative relationships across the wider design team to support delivery on programme and within budget. Steve is also an active contributor to industry discourse through published blogs, with a particular focus on the sustainable retrofit of legacy data centres, unlocking existing structural capacity and maximising embodied carbon savings.
