Sue Macmillan
CEO,
Mumsnet
Sue Macmillan is Chief Executive Officer of Mumsnet, the UK’s largest and most trusted platform for parents and a rapidly evolving digital business rooted in real human conversation. Sue has been with Mumsnet since 2011, rising through senior leadership and stepping into the CEO role as the business continues to scale and extend its impact. Sue champions the use of AI not as a replacement for human judgement but as a powerful enabler of clarity, efficiency and deeper understanding across products and internal decision-making. This includes innovations such as MumsGPT, an AI-driven insight tool that transforms anonymised discussions into privacy-preserving intelligence for brands and partners. Before joining Mumsnet, Sue worked as a digital consultant and Head of New Media for the Labour Party and has held elected office as a councillor and cabinet member in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, with responsibility for children and education.
