Theo Botha, is the Global CISO at Dr. Martens PLC. With 20 years of experience in technology and 15 years in building security and compliance services from the ground up across multiple industries. Theo’s approach to security compliance ensured the right level of security based on business risk appetite, always adjusting to ensure business is not slowed down. At Dr. Martens Theo helped build a security program allowing for successful IPO of Dr. Martens PLC in 2021. In his current capacity Theo is also leading AI transformation across Dr. Martens PLC. Theo has a MSc in Information Security through Royal Holloway backed up by multiple industry qualifications. Theo is also a CSO Hall of Fame (2025) inductee and former Top 30 CSO (2022) and serves as an advisory board member supporting new startups and developing new talent.
