AI technologies offer huge potential for the NHS and wider public sector. However use of AI is a big step change and both our patients and staff need to have confidence that the transition is managed ethically and responsibly. For that reason, Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT has put significant effort into co-producing an AI policy and governance route to ensure we have the right structures in place to confidently move forwards. This talk gives an overview of the process of producing the policy and governance, and some of the key lessons learned and most intense points of discussion.
