Most DR strategies fail not because of missing tools, but because of infrastructure drift, ClickOps, undocumented changes, and false confidence in cloud-native backups. Teams only discover these gaps when production is already down—when there’s no time to reverse-engineer reality. As cloud environments scale and GenAI accelerates infrastructure change, the problem compounds. More automation, faster changes, and AI-generated configs increase speed—but also amplify blast radius when governance and recovery can’t keep up.
