What Does ‘Human-Centred’ Mean Globally? Culture, and AI Beyond the West

05 Mar 2026
Big Data & AI World Keynote Theatre
AI Culture & Leadership AI Ethics & Governance

In this panel, Peter Mousaferiadis will be joined by three leading voices in cultural intelligence — Anna Zelno, Anaïs Aguerre, and Waqas Ahmed, to unpack what “human centred” means in a multicultural, AI augmented world.

Drawing on decades of collective expertise across intercultural understanding, cultural analytics, global cultural diplomacy, and ethical technology, the panellists will explore how AI systems frequently reflect only a narrow slice of the world’s cultural diversity. Together, they will examine the consequences of data bias embedded in global AI governance.

The discussion will highlight why culturally aware data is essential for equitable AI and how and why Cultural Infusion’s Atlas avoids amorphous and unstable identity categories.

Participants will leave with a clearer sense of what a human centred global AI future may require.
